What's up with all the VOMITING in movies?

This is a big pet peeve of mine. I cannot stand to see a movie character
throwing up and it seems like I see it all the time in movies.

I watched Edge of Darkness tonight and three different characters barfed.

I am so grossed out.

DH and I were just talking about this, but it's not just the movies--it is all over my favorite TV shows! Grey's, private practice, the closer, rescue me, i'm thinking even mad men... it's everywhere and it's GROSS.

I saw Date Night last week and there was some puking in there.... But there was also shirtless Mark Whalburg (sp?), which made up for it IMO. :wink2:

I HATE vomiting - real, in movies, on tv. DH doesn't get it - he thinks it's fine. And he is going to be getting puke duty with DS!

No one even looks like they're vomiting except for the actor in Dying Young. Who throws up one small mouth-full of spit/water? When I toss my cookies, it's messy, copious, lengthy, and I look like crap when I'm done! Bothers me the same as the actors who brush their teeth on camera w/out toothpaste!

I totally agree! It ruins so many shows for me. Who wants to see that??? We all know it happens. Just skip it, for goodness sake!
