We are going to Disney Land with our 2 year old (who is 35 inches tall) in late October, most likely a weekday. We were wondering if we should plan our trip or be spontaneous. If we decided to plan it is it worth paying for something that claims to minimize waiting in line? We are only going one day. Planning on only doing disyney land.

If you are too spontaneous you will have a not so fun experience. The #1 most important thing, and I can't stress this enough GET THERE AT PARK OPENING. Even if that's the only thing you plan, it will help you enjoy your stay. Your DC will want to ride the Fantasyland rides, and the lines for those get longest fastest. Hightail it to Dumbo, first thing. That is the slowest loading ride in the park (due to small capacity, and the fact that all kids want to ride it). That should be your first stop.

Do you and DH plan on riding the E-ticket rides that DC can't go on? If so, grab fast passes as soon as you can AFTER Dumbo. :)

Rather than pay for a service, I'd just get the "Unofficial Guide to Disneyland".
