When to do princess lunch

We're hoping to do lunch at CRT one day, but not sure which day would be best. Is it busier on weekends? Should we go the first day, or might that be too much excitement for a 4/5 year old right away, then the rest of the trip not as much fun? Or if we waited till a later day, would the anticipation be just too much to take?

We did it right away and then it was out of the way and they loved it. There was still soooo much to do that it didn't take away from the trip at all doing it the first full day. Get to your reservation early so you can see the princess greeter and get seated too versus standing in a long line. We did this accidentally and it worked great (like ten or fifteen minutes early at Disneyland).
