The quality is great, but I have NOT tried other photobooks. This freebie is a hard cover book...we've done hard cover and softcover and have been very happy.

FYI, leave yourself a lot of time to do it, it can take a while!

Thanks for posting OP. It didn't work for me BUT I got a free 8x8 hardcover 2-3 months ago. It probably only works for those with an active account that did not recently get a free one. (I created a new account for DH and it didn't work either.) Thanks for the reminder of the free cards. That works!

Strangest thing just happened to me. I just ordered my shutterfly book and the total came to $0! I couldn't figure it out then noticed there was a $20 credit on my account. I have.no.idea. where it came from. This is not our main shutterfly account, only a secondary one that I send books to from our main account when these freebies are available, so I know I didn't enter any gift cards or anything. I've never even had a shutterfly gift card! I'm not complaining, just thought it was odd. I don't remember there being any free credit codes or anything and if there was I would have entered it on my main account too! Anyway, just thought I'd mention to keep your eyes on your account. Maybe this mysterious credit will appear in your account too!

I tried the Simple Path tool and didn't like it at all. I won't be using it again.

If you don't have a lot of time today to make the book, try the Storyboarding tool. I was in a hurry and this saved me a lot of time! I had tried the Simple Path before and didn't like it, but this is much better.

You can use anywhere from 1 to 5+ photos per page. It's up to you to choose how many you want on each page. With this offer you get a book with 20 pages for free, but you can also add more pages if you want (if I'm not mistaken each extra page is $1).

also, got my picaboo book today and i have to say, i favor shutterfly. i think the pictures are sharper in shutterfly books.

Wow, I just logged in to try to finish up the free photo book, and saw on a sidebar that the deadline for it has been extended to 11:59 p.m. September 2nd! Woo hoo! That gives me a bit of breathing room in case I don't get it done tonight. Just wanted to give everyone a heads' up! :)
