I just moved to Italy and have 2 sons. I'm looking for a baby monitor - preferably one with day/night video and that has a long range. Any ideas? Of course, at this point, I'm inclined to take anything I can get since I don't know the language yet and don't know what I'm spending my money on. Would hate to buy an expensive one that doesn't work that well.

thanks

Your best bet is to take in a photo of what you would like to a local department store. They should have people who speak at least some English and a decent return policy, at least that is how I found Germany.

Have you visited the baby department of a department store to check out what they have? I live in the developing world in a 220V region, and the department stores where I am carry monitors by Chicco, Phillips, First Years, and I have seen one with video. I don't speak the language, either, but do recognize what's on the photo on the boxes :)
