Dear Facebook friends,
You may think you are oh-so-clever by posting status updates that begin "Dear (insert non sentient being here), I hate you (or whatever emotion you are feeling here). Thanks, (whatever your name is here)".
For example: "Dear Rain, I am trying to walk my baby so go away. Thanks, Carol"
It neither makes you witty nor amusing. After seeing status updates like this it makes me want to post one like this: "Dear Carol, I am so glad that you have such an active imagination that you can carry on a conversation with things that don't think, but I don't need to be a part of those conversations. Thanks, Chelle"
