Weather in September?

So we are headed to Disney next Monday and I have been watching the weather and it seems like it is going to be awfully rainy. I know it is hurricane season, but just wondering if anyone has gone in September before and how much of the day it rained on average? I am hoping the nighttime events (fireworks/parades/Illuminations/etc) don't all get cancelled!

Any tips on enjoying the parks even if it is rainy?

We went the past two septembers- this week coming up, actually!

It always says possible thundershowers every day. We were there 8 days last year- it rained the first afternoon for about an hour, then it rained our on the 4th night. That's it. The year before, I only recall it raining one night.

Get up and go early. Often the rains only come in the afternoons. Sometimes you can take a break then and come back later if it clears up.
