How does Groupon work? I'm interested in getting the canvasondemand deal but when I went to Groupon it looks like I have to pay for it through the groupon website. Is that how it works? I've never used the site before so any advice is greatly appreciated. (Are they trustworthy with your CC info etc?)

I've done a few deals, and have had no issue with them.

The Canvas on Demand looks cool. Which city?

I love them. Every day (except F-Su ) they list a business that is offering a phenominal discount. So many people have to buy in order to activate the groupon. Be careful and check the expiration dates and always ask questions in the forum if your not sure about something. I have always paid by CC and have never had any problems.

Thanks guys! So, I pay through Groupon and then will it send me to the other website to make my online purchase? Or does it give me a discount code or something?

The City is Washington DC.

I've only done it twice (Gap and one other).

Does each City generally have ONE deal per day? Sometimes I see a "side" deal but it might be leftover from the day before. Is there generally more than one deal per day? I just wonder if I'm missing something.

I've gotten some great deals.

You get a coupon or coupon code to print out and use. I've only done actual coupons, but I'd imagine this is a code to use, since it's an online site. I've done a playplace and we printed the coupon and brought it in to get inside. And, Gap is a printed coupon.

Yes, you pay through Groupon. Then the next day the deal is loaded in your Groupon account and you can print out a "coupon" which has a code to enter on the retailer's site.

I love Groupon and wish they had it in my actual city!

I love groupon as well and have never had any issue with them. I have been able to get some really good deals on things that I sometimes splurge on (my nails, for example) or places we already go (like certain restaurants).

OP - I ordered the canvas groupon about an hour ago. I just got an email that it's ready to print. HTH

Ive done the canvas on demand. Works great...you can use the coupon for anything. I ended using the code for a couple of 8x10's.

You just enter the code on the canvas on demand at checkout and the amount gets credited to your acct.

Can anyone else not get the DC page to come up? I'm guessing they are all gone since when I go to pick DC it's the only city in grey, while the others Are still in black. I tried a few hours ago too and it wouldn't let me choose the city.
Has anyone ordered in the last hour?

I ordered about 45 minutes ago and I just checked and it's still showing as available for me.

It's still available for me. The site was messing up for me though earlier, and I couldn't get pages to load properly. It's working fine now.

I love groupon also. If you refer people you get 10 dollars. SO I bought a 20 dollar gift card to a local butchery and used 10 dollars. So it was free.

I've seen the deal for Canvas on Demand and considered it. I wonder if it's a lot better quality than Artscow.com, which also prints on canvas for $30 for a 20x24.

Someone on another thread did not recommend artscow.com at all. My professional photographer friend uses canvas on demand all the time and highly recommends it. HTH!
