I have had this in my Amazon cart for awhile now since I'd like to buy it for DS for Christmas. I just noticed that the price decreased from $49.XX (where it's been for the past few months) to $40.00. I can't remember what the price was last year during the Amazon holiday deals, I know it was less than that, but I'm trying to decide if it will go low enough to justify waiting and possibly missing out. Any thoughts?

Here's a thread that reports what people were paying Christmas 2008:http://www.windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=341673 . Last year it didn't go nearly as low.

Down to $38 which is the lowest it has been since Christmas.

I think I got mine for $35-ish about 2.5 years ago.

I think I might have to order it! Even though I just bought the Costco dollhouse, princess shoes and a huge princess color/sticker box.

Anyone know how this easel compares to others? I was thinking about adding on the drop cloth and rolls of easel paper. The alternative would be a craft table...?

I was so disappointed last year...I waited and waited and I think I ended up paying around $35.

The Ikea easel is $15. Not sure how they compare.

I have the Ikea easel and love it. The chalk side isn't magnetic - not sure if the M&D one is or not. The rolls of paper from ikea are very reasonable too. Mine is used a lot for paint/crayon/stickers/chalk so I don't mind if it gets dirty - has lasted fours years and still going.

I got it for $30 on Amazon over 3 years ago. I've never seen it go lower.

As for Ikea - the Ikea easel is not as big and not as sturdy (my friend has it) but I think it does the job just as well as the M&D one

I paid $22.99 12/22/08. Not sure if it was a lightening deal or not, but it was the cheapest I have ever seen it. Probably won't happen again.

I'm looking for a kids' easel too. It looks like Ikea doesn't sell it anymore. I can't find it on their website (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categories/series/11671/). :(

But after looking at their website, I will be in trouble for all that I do want to buy!

Thanks for letting me know. Do you remember how much you paid for your easel? I may take a trip over there... (it's an hour away).

Thanks!
