Please recommend a great backpack that functions as a great diaper bag. Looking for enough room/pockets for 2 kids worth of stuff - water bottles, toys, snacks, and all the other junk. TIA!

I like Dakine backpacks for this - I got the Oceana from 6pm recently for $39. It's roomy and nice b/c it has a wet compartment in the back (I mostly just use it as another compartment but it's nice to have) and an insulated front compartment (doesn't keep food freezing, but works ok). Comes in lots of patterns, and Dakine has tons of other styles to choose from, and you can often find them on sale sites.

actually there's the Columbia Trekster backpack which is actually designed to be a diaper bag. has insulated compartments for food, plus changing pad. i love it bc it's not huge & bulky plus it has straps so you can hang off the stroller. plus, it's very easy to access everything in it.

I have a Skip Hop backpack diaper bag that I love. I use it when I have my 4 year old and my 6 month old together. It holds a ton, and keeps everything nicely organized. Plus it has stroller straps that make it super easy to clip onto things.

You can order it online (or go to a Buy Buy Baby if you have one near you) from Bed Bath and Beyond and use a 20% off coupon. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?sku=15142944&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping

After 2 years of exlcusive use (and abuse), the zipper on our Columbia Trekkster gave out, so I decided to try this backpack:

I LOVE that it opens up on top, and am really liking the two side pockets for holding bottle/sippy, quick-reach items.

We still love our Trekster, so if I learn that the zipper can be repaired, I'm keeping it.

:yeahthat: We use this a lot, the front access zip to get into the main compartment (which can also be opened the traditional way from the top) is super nice for reaching in to grap wipes or an extra sock or whatever. My only complaint is that it needs 2 mesh/elastic cup holders, one on each side!!

I use a Vera Bradley backpack. I've tried lots of others and came back to this one. I love the interior pockets and that it is super light and machine washable. I hate when a bag is heavy w/o any of the stuff I need to carry in it!
