I'm making up a Christmas basket for my neices and nephews and want to include some type of board or card game. I've given them Zingo in the past, and I know they have the classics already (candyland, chutes and ladders) They are 6, 5 and 3.

Any ideas for a somewhat unique board game they might not already have?

THanks!

As far as card games goes maybe Uno or Ruckus. I have friends kids who play these all the time.

Hiss is good for a bunch of ages. Are you trying to find something for them to play together?

Blokus- great for kids of all ages, and adults, too.

The new Lego games. I haven't tried them yet but I'm planning on getting one for DS this Christmas. They have pretty good review on Amazon. I'm getting him the Robot one.

Thats a good one. Also Uno (and the various 'new' versions like Uno Spin). I think the Lady Bug Game and Great States Jr are great for those ages to play together. I also just saw a new 2 player Perfection game.

I was going to recommend the card game Hiss. My 3 year old LOVES it and I like playing it with him.

Old standareds like Dominos and Bingo are a big hit here, as is Quirkle and Connect 4. Blockus is on the Christmas list, as is Uno (or one it its variations like the one that shoots cards). CHutes and Ladders is okay, but try to avoid it because it can drag on soooo long.

DS is 4.5 and LOVES games. (and I'm elated to have someone to play with me now, as DH isn't much of a game player :)

Sleeping Queens. It's my daughter's favorite game and one that we don't mind playing with her over and over.
