Are the 16 oz to large? Are the 12 oz large enough? We need to replace our glasses and you all suggested these. Size help please? For adults and for kids.

Thanks.

Does this work out to be cheaper than Amazon? I was wondering about size too, but maybe some of both?

I can't believe how many sizes there are! http://www.amazon.com/Duralex-Picardie-4-Ounce-Clear-Tumbler/dp/B00151USMS

I think the 16 oz would be too big for kids. The 12 oz is a better size. I have the 7.75 and 8.75 oz size for my kids.

Wow, that's too many choices. I'd prob have to see them in person to decide.

If you have a World Market near you, check out the Duralex there. I bought all of mine there when WS stopped selling them for a while. I think they are quite a bit cheaper at World Market than that Amazon price. They sell 4 sizes at World Market and we use all of them regularly.

We used the 4 1/4 oz size as children--my mom just put some in a box for a garage sale this weekend. They are so sturdy. Fond memories :)

I bought ours at Williams Sonoma, so if you have any of their stores nearby you could take a look at them in person.

We bought the 12oz ones. My DS is 4 and can handle that size well. I think the 16 oz would be too big for a kid to handle. The 12oz ones are a good size for all of us. The glasses have been knocked over and dropped off the table and are still going strong. Love them!:love-retry:

12 oz is good for dinner time water glasses. for adults. not too much. just right. i think they can be a good size for kids too.

8.75 oz is perfect for cups of tea or hot coffee (yes, i love drinking my hot coffee and tea from these glasses). if you dont think orange juice is evil, this is the perfect size also for juice.

i also drink a lot of iced coffee and iced tea and i am considering getting a set of the 16.75 oz. but i dont have them.

i believe if you want your kid to learn to drink using glass glasses, the 3.75 or the 4.25 oz glasses would be a great size.

i do feel these are sturdy, but i have had them shatter, so i only use steel cups with my kid.

but picardie glasses are very sturdy for every day use for adults and are beautiful to boot.

I'm going to World Market today to get some of these! I checked them out last week, and the 16+ oz ones are $3.99 each (great for my iced tea addiction), the 12+ oz were $3.49 (great for the dinner table), and the 8 oz were $2.99 (great size for the kids). And I have a $10 off purchase of $30 coupon from the mail so I'm excited to get a good deal! We need to replace all our glasses so we're getting some of all 3 sizes.
