I have been looking all over town for pectin, but can't seem to find it anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have seen it near the canning supplies (Ball brand jars, etc.) in my local grocery store as well as at Whole Foods, but IDK if that helps you at all.

FWIW, my grocery store puts the jars and such near the spices and baking stuff.

Maybe I don't know what to look for. Is there a particular brand name I should be looking for?

My mom always uses Sure Jell.

Sure Jell is one and Ball makes their brand as well. Check the baking aisle if you can't find it in the canning section. My WalMart carries it.

If you can't get it locally you can order online. It's getting harder and harder to find these days.

There is a whole canning section in my local Meijer store. Did you ask at your grocery store? I'm sure they carry it.

At my regular grocery store, it's with the canning supplies, which are with the vinegars/condiments/pickles/etc. I've used both Sure Jell and Kroger brand.
