Help! Quick Antibiotic Question

Damn. DS1 has an eye infection and we were prescribed Augmentin, which I got from the pharmacy and gave him last night.

Didn't notice until this morning that the bottle was supposed to be refrigerated, so it was left on the counter overnight.

Is it still safe to use? It's too early to call the pharmacy and I need to send him to school.

My pharmacist husband says it's still safe, just as long as it hasn't received any direct excessive heat.

Of course I also tasted it last night (at DS's request, to prove it wasn't terrible) not realizing it was amoxicillin (which I am allergic to). Well it was only a tiny taste. Hopefully I won't break out in hives.
