ISO a decent hand-held can opener that won't rust!

I currently have an OXO hand-held can opener and despite my efforts it is rusty!

I wash/rinse after use and then let it air dry but the cutting part and the handle have rusted...gross really. I swear this happens with every can opener I have owned!

Any suggestions?

No suggestions, just surprise. I have the OXO one (have had it for 5 years) and no trouble with it rusting.

I love ours from Pampered Chef. It opens so there are no sharp edges.

Another vote for the Pampered Chef. It cuts the outside of the can, never coming in contact with the food IN the can, so you never need to wash it.

I also surprised about the OXO. I have had mine since before I met DH, so at least 8 years. Works great, no rust. I probably use it 1-2 times a week (but am often opening 2-4 cans per "use.") Maybe the newer ones are not as good?

Rosle. German-made. Best one I've ever had. Takes the whole top off the can, leaves no sharp edges.

My OXO is prob 8 yrs old...it started going downhill 1-2 years age and recently got really rusty..anyone here a pampered chef rep?

Another vote for the Pampered Chef one! I've had ours for years and never had a single problem!

I have a Swing-away. I rinse and dry after every use too. Sometimes it's hard to get it all the way dry.

I've had my OXO can opener for about 2 years now and it is used (and run through the dishwasher) at least twice a week. Still looks brand new. I wonder if they have changed them?
