Gathering info on owning rental property

We are considering buying a condo or similar to rent out. I need to educate myself about this. Suggestions for books etc?

We're kind of in the same boat... or at least DH is, upon the advice of his boss. A book he recommended is "Equity Happens; Building Lifelong Wealth with Real Estate" by Robert Helms & Russell Gray. DH is making his way through it (it's about 455 pages long), and his boss has about 100 properties and seems to be doing well with it, so it's worth a shot. ;)

I am curious too. We are only 2-3 years from paying off our mortgage and DH is pressing me to consider buying a beach condo that we would use sometimes and rent out.
