I wanted to make my own jelly to keep additives out! Is low sugar pectin ok for my precious dd? Is there another way to get grape jelly to set up?

I'm not sure if it works with grape jelly or not specifically, but there is a no-sugar-added pectin available. I used it to make peach jam this year. You might check online for recipes. I also have the "Ball Canning Guide" and it has been invaluable for all aspects of canning and jelly-making.

i've used Pomona's Universal Pectin in low-sugar recipes.

I've seen it at Whole Foods, natural food stores, etc.

I use low sugar sure-jell. Strawberry works great, I haven't had good results using it w/peaches (it doesn't set up) - I've only used it to make freezer jam & grapefruit jelly.
