I can't remember where I saw it (E! News maybe), but I saw that a silver/pewter bag is the "it" bag for the fall. I haven't bought a new purse in years, and I am all about the pewter color!

I am not a ruffly person, but I saw a woman with a bag last night that I LOVED. I should've just asked her where she got it, but considering where we were (and the car I saw her get out of) I'm sure it's out of my price range.

I've been searching for the bag online and the closest thing to it I can find is this one:

Hers had three or four ruffles, though, and had more of a matte look. I think it was slightly darker in color, too. If you've seen it, let me know!

What do you think of the bag? Can I carry it with me while running errands or is it more of a date-night purse?

I love the Kohls bag!

www.thesak.com has several bags on sale now in the "pyrite" metallic color. I don't see any with ruffles, but they have several hobo styles.

There were a few more that were $$$ so I didn't include them. I always buy my handbags at Nordstrom (usually one every two years or so- unless DH is feeling especially generous for a special occasion :))

I'm going to have to go check out H&M tomorrow. I have looked at every site I can think of and can't find THE bag I saw yesterday. I feel like I've seen it before, just can't put my finger on it. I thought maybe Michael Kors, but I don't see it on the website, or any other website that sells MK. I wonder if I saw it at the outlets last week. Guess I'll have to swing by the MK outlet tomorrow, too. Not that I *need* the bag, but I'm on a mission, and when I get a bug up my butt about something there's not stopping me! Once I know I can't find IT, I'll be able to move on and get something like it!

I saw this one and thought it might be it, but the bag is much bigger than the one the woman had. It was funny, though, because she definitely had some baby items in there- diapers, wipes, etc! It was big enough for that, but not quite as big as this bag. I do like this one, though!

No, not yet. :( I WILL though! I was all set to hunt for the perfect bag this week, but my kids had other plans (darn kids)! I still haven't made it to the mall. I have seen several women with the silver/gray/gunmetal color bags over the week and I love them all. I'll let you know which one I get! Hopefully it will be soon.

I picked one up this week that was that color for $10 at TJ Maxx!! No ruffles on it, but might be worth a look.

Thanks! I always forget about TJ Maxx. There is one right next to the mall, along with a Nordstrom Rack. I think I'll check that out, too.

I bet the woman that OP saw had a Valentino 'Rose' bag. There are several styles with the flower made out of ruffles. I can't post a link but Saks, Nordstrom and NM have them on their websites for $1,600 or more. They do go on sale but one would have to be truly rich to use one as a diaper bag.

Nope! It's not any of these! It looks very similar to the link I posted in my OP- the horizontal ruffles. Hers just has two or three more, but basically the same bag. I can't find it anywhere! I went looking again yesterday and found one I really like, but I didn't buy it. I'm going to check out a couple more stores before I go back and get the one I saw yesterday (which was only about $40, not $1600 ;) ).

Well, after all the searching and trying to hunt down THE bag, I finally bought something. It is nothing like the original one I was trying to find or the Kohls one I posted that was the closest thing I could find! In my search I realized that the shinier metallic bags don't really fit my wardrobe/style. Every time I tried one out it looked stupid against my outfit. I loved many of them, but they just didn't fit me.

I ended up getting this one. Thanks for all the links and help during my search!

No, it's a Poppie Jones (I got it at DSW). It's kind of a silvery gray, I guess! The fabric is really soft, almost suede, but I guess more of a brushed cotton.
