View Full Version : What to ask at parent-teacher conf.?
Obviously I want to know how my DC is doing in K, but any specific questions or other topics to address? I've thought of a couple of things but feel like I will be wishing I asked a couple more questions afterwards.

Here is my thread from last year, asking the same question.

I usually ask strengths, weaknesses and suggestions for us. I also try to mention ds' interests and if I think he is hiding a skill from the teacher. (He does this. Last year his K teacher marked that he was making progress to counting to 20. He was fully capable of counting to 100. Dunno why he holds out on teachers some times, but he does.)

Our K teacher was very thorough so the only thing we asked was suggestions to enrich her learning of the material at home.
Thanks for the replies and the old threads :)

In addition to school work, I would ask about friends. Are there any kids she seems to get along well with that you could invite over for playdates.
