Do I need these shoes?

I have several pairs of Dansko clogs and love them all with the exception of the Merrie's (http://www.shoes.com/Shopping/productdetails.aspx?catalog_name=web&pg=5032630&p=EC1079295&CMP=OTC-GoogleBase&partnerid=GoogleBase&cpc=GoogleBase&campaign=Dansko&category=W&cpckw=Dansko+Women's+Merrie+Shoes+(Hickory)&CAWELAID=166642272), I think because I am not a fan of the open back - they always feel like they're going to slip off.

I wear my Dansko clogs all fall and winter, but think they look hokey with skirts. I think the Sally might be cuter.

Does anyone have a pair? Are they comfy? Do you wear them with pants, and if so, what kinds of socks do you wear with them?

My issue is that they are really open. I used to have a pair of Mary Jane's like that way back when but they were terrible in the winter. Too exposed. Even with socks they just didn't work. Plus, socks with them are just NMS. If you don't live where it gets cold or will only wear them in the warmer weather then they'd be fine shoes. But, cold doesn't work great for them, imo.

I agree that wearing socks with them might be tricky -- anything other than a trouser sock and you run a risk of it looking odd....I'm imagining the sock might be a bit puffy over the edge of the shoe. That would kill the look IMO.
