AC Moore had Melissa and Doug on sale this week - buy one get one free. They also have a coupon (9/26 & 9/27 only) for $5 off $20 or $10 off $30.

I hope to go tomorrow to pick up a few things, so I cannot attest to what they have.

Thanks- you just made my plans for today. They also have Thomas stuff BOGO too. Seems like I could use the coupons on those too.

our store was pretty picked over so i hope they get more in by the end of the week so i can pick up a few more items, but the $5/$10 off is applied to the price before the BOGO. still a great deal.
Ex:
Cut & slice veggies set 22.98
Cut & slice fruit set 22.98
with $10 coupon is it 17.98 for both not 12.98
... 22.98 -5.00 + 22.98 -5.00 -BOGO= 17.98

Actually, the coupon is applied after the BOGO. The total before coupon is 22.98 and then use the 5 off 20 coupon which makes it 17.98. You can only use one coupon per transaction.

your ac moore must have a different computer system. i argued it for 20 minutes! i originally had 2 puzzle and 2 food play sets for over $30 with the bogo and it was taking the dollar off each item then taking the 2 lowest items off for the free items. i even had a manager look at it and she agreed with me, but said that she could not override the register! i was not completely happy.

Update: i called their custome service and they are looking into this because apparently i am not the only one that has this issue. they said that this is the frist time they have run a $5/10 off deal.

I also bought 4 M&D items and used the $10 coupon. Each set of 2 items were the same price to maximize the deal. This is how it showed on my receipt.

For example, 2 sticker books for $5.99 each.

first sticker book 1.81
$10 off $30 deal 1.18-
BOGO deal 2.99-

second sticker book 1.81
$10 off $30 deal 1.18-
BOGO deal 2.99-

It takes the $10 off and divides it among all of the items in your transaction. This makes returns easier so I believe I will only get $1.81 back if I return one of the sticker books.

That is strange. I had 2 items for $5.99 and 2 items for $14.99 and I did get one $5.99 and one $14.99 item for free. The math is confusing when you look at the receipt with the BOGO offer and the coupon offer but it all came out correctly.

lucky you.. they way it was ringing up was all the items then the $10 discount then the bogo.
originally they were ringing up as:
playfood 22.98
- 2.50 =$5.00 off $20
-20.48 bogo
= 20.48 total

so i had them rering as:
playfood 22.98
- 5.00 =$10 off $30 (total on the register was 45.96)`
- 17.98 bogo (not the 22.98)
= 17.98
i argued and spoke to a manager, but lost and figured i still got a good deal and had to get back for a meeting i could not be late for. it was a total PITA. i hope they figure it out and i can get this fixed! this is just an FYI to be aware on how your store may be ringing things up.

They have had the BOGO sale before, but the 5 off 20 (including sale prices) and 10 off 30 is the first that I've seen.

Update: the representative from the corporate office called me back to let me know that the register software was incorrect on the promotion and I am due a refund. They are sending a $10 gc instead of giving me the difference I am owed which is fine with me since the difference was 4.xx and you always need something at ac moore with a toddler running around the house.

FYI: Without the coupon I did not think the deals were that great. They had the responsibility chart for $22.99 so even if you bought two they are $11.50 (plus tax) each and they are $11 on Amazon now. They did have some toys though that I had never seen, although they were for kids older than my 2-year olds.
