We need a car seat for DH's car. DS2 rides in a MA70 in my car. Trips in DH's car are short (no more than 3 miles)--picking up from my sister's, going to church, etc.

We have $75 to spend. Is the Scenera still the best budget choice?

DS2 is 12 months old, 22 lbs, can't remember how many inches.....

DS1 used his Scenera until he was 4.5 yo and at that time he outgrew it by height, not weight.

Maybe the Avenue? http://www.diapers.com/product/productdetail.aspx?productid=16797&site=CI&cm_mmc=cse-_-googlebase-_-gear|car%20seats|convertible%20car%20seats-_-CS-067&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=CS-067

Has a shell and top slots like an inch higher, just in case this kiddo is on a taller growth curve than the other one and isn't ready for a booster at the height the Scenera gets too small. Otherwise Scenera is fine, or Evenflo Tribute.

I got a Tribute for $40 at WalMart today. It's $45 on the shelf and I had a $5 off coupon. I haven't installed it yet, but it looks like it shouldn't be too hard. Thanks for the input!

Report back to us how you like it. I like it so much more on the BRU test bench and on the shelf than the Scenera, but I haven't tried one in a car in way too many years :/.
