I would like to pick up a couple of new toys for DD (she is 10 months old) before our upcoming trip. I would prefer toys that are 'quiet' so she can play with them on the plane with minimal disruption to other passengers. Any suggestions?

I bought this set at TJMaxx for $6 and DD who is 14M loves them. Soft and quiet. They're technically bath squirters, so blow a puff of air when you squeeze them. I never use them in the tub as supposedly can trap water and mildew. She really likes taking them in and out of the bag. Endless play at home and I just bought some new sets (space and garden) for an upcoming plane ride. You can use them together, but if you lose one or two they others are still good as independant toys.. perfect for the unplanned bits of travel.

Lots and lots of other sets (Farm, Jungle, Space, Garden, Construction) if you don't like vehicles. Our TJMaxx had the Farm, Garden, Transportation, and Space sets.

These "put and find" toys are cute. We had a mailbox themed one for DS1 at that age.

Or the "fill and spill" toys

We also have this and would be great as well. Perfect for infants, and now she's interested in in again as she's moving into her 'cooking phase'. Very high quality. The apple does have a tinkle bell and lettuce has crinkly leaves, so not silent, but def quiet enough for a plane. Bag gives you some where to store/organize and also serves as "spill and fill".
