This one is from the LLB Signature line. The other one I was thinking of is this one, but the reviews are poor: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/66106?pi=1084615&catalog_id=TA&attrValue_0=Chocolate
I'm not sure I like how the 2nd one kicks out at the bottom in the front and back, it looks a bit strange. The 1st one is more pencil-shaped (which I can wear).
I am also pondering this velveteen one, http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/66161?feat=66106-ppxs&dds=y&catalog_id=TA
I already own it in Cranberry from last year. I was thinking black or purple, but I dunno, velvet(een) in the office d/n seem right. I can pull off a corduroy skirt on "business casual" days, but would feel weird with velvet.
Thoughts??

I dig the purple velvet. The cord skirts are fine, nothing special. I'd wear the velvet to work.

I agree with cvanbrunt. I like the velvet one a lot more.

Thanks ladies.
So, purple velvet over the black velvet? I really :heartbeat: the purple, but already have the cranberry (berry red) one from last year.... Maybe black would be more functional (though, frankly, I need another black skirt like I need a hole in my head).
TIA!

I think you answered your own question...go purple :)

Hmmm... IME, black velvet shows *everything* and looks nasty after the first 30 minutes of wearing. I like the purple - so much more you can do with it!

If you get the purple, let us know what you plan to wear with it. It looks awesome, but I can't put together a (stylish) outfit to save my life. I'm all about copying.

Any other ideas on a corduroy skirt? I have the tights and the boots.... :)
I like the Athleta one others have posted here, but it is an A-line, not pencil.

Oooh, I like that one too!
How does their sizing run?? Anyone have a FS code for them??
TIA
Their sizing varies between items, different brands. I always read the reviews to get a better idea.

I have it (um love it, may order it in a second color) and it runs true to size for me. I'm between two sizes and in skirts I can usually do the smaller one and that was true for this one.
If you get the other one, post about it. I need another cord skirt in a camel-ish color that works with boots and tights.

I think both are cute. I'm not sure how the one that tapers in would look on my more hippy body. I think you'd have to try the other one to know how it looks on you.
ETA: I think the velvet one looks more rich and refined.
