Amazon is currently offering a pre-order of Call of Duty: Black Ops for all three platforms for $59.99 w/ a $20 credit (200 points) towards a future video-game purchase. We do not expect Black Ops to retail for lower than its MSRP anytime before Christmas and certainly nowhere near the effective $40 pre-order price-point it is available at now. The $20 credit (200 points) will be deposited into your Amazon account two days after the game ships.

Kmart will be having a similar sale where they will be offering Black Ops for $59.99 plus $25 in rewards points (gift-card), but will not be offering free shipping; which makes the Amazon deal a bit better if you're shopping online (by only a couple of dollars). The Kmart sale will go live starting November 9.

Lastly, Toys R Us will be having a similar video-game sale starting next Sunday, November 7, where you will receive a $20 gift-card with the purchase of one $59.99 video-game and a $50 gift-card with the purchase of two $59.99 video-games. If you plan on purchasing another $59.99 video-game along with Black Ops, then the Toys R Us deal is the best. Thanks for the tip DickFitzwell!

Black Ops is the seventh installment in the Call of Duty series, with its most recent predecessor (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2) selling over 20 million copies world-wide. Black Ops will be the game of the 2010 Holiday Season, has more pre-orders than Modern Warfare 2 and is already receiving critical acclaim from reviewers.
