My 3.5 year old dd has been expressing an interest in a train table for christmas and it would be fun for my 1 year old down the line as well.

Any good ones to consider? I don't have a ton of space - we have a small playroom which also houses our play kitchen, book shelf, etc. I'd like a table that i might be able to somehow easily store and rotate with other toys or a table that might be able to serve other functions - duplo, activity table, tea / play kitchen service, etc. so that If it takes up a lot of room we aren't limited to just using it for trains.

Thoughts?

I had a regular train table for my daughter and it got average use. I ended up giving it to someone when we moved. It was large and bulky.

Then recently (last 6 months or so) I got her a Nilo activity table. LOVE it. And she plays on it a lot. We don't have trains anymore, but she uses it to play dolls on, tea parties, with her doll house, puzzles, etc. I have the bigger one (N51) because my house can accomodate it. But they make one that's smaller that I would recommend (N34) if you don't have a lot of space - this particular table comes with lego mats/duplo mats.

For Christmas I got her the theasle that goes with the table as well. And as she and my baby grow, I can get leg extenders to raise the height of the table. It's super solid construction. And when I go to sell it later, I know I will get good money for it because it retains its resale value.

I would suggest the ones with the holes along the frame as the accesories are good for that!
