We are going to WDW with dd (and older ds of course. :). ) soon. I'm wondering about bibs and place mat type things. We are staying for a week. I've been using the long sleeve Ikea bibs on her and she eats right off the table (Tripp Trapp) at home. Should I check out disposables? Which ones?

Thanks,
Catherine

My DCP loves the disposible bibs from Munchkin (http://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Travelware-Disposable-Bibs-Pack/dp/B000G3BC80). We send them in monthly now for DD2. I really like the Tiny Diner placemat (http://www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-Tiny-Diner-Green/dp/B002USCIRS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1288819001&sr=1-1), which works great on all things but cloth table cloths (but that shouldn't really be an issue at WDW, right?). I like it because it also cleans off easily and rolls right up into whatever bag you are using. The only thing you can't do on it is cut on it.

This mat has also been getting rave reviews Tommee Tippee Explora Mat (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3944032) and Food Bowl set (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3944044).

I bought disposable bibs at BRU (their house brand...can't think of the name). As for placemats? Um, I just wiped the table with a wipe before we ate :bag or he sat in the stroller and ate off the tray.

i love our placemat and use it everywhere. i like the fact that it catch 50% of the stuff she drops which means 50% less i have to pick up.
dd hates disposable bibs and will not keep one on. i would just use the bibs you have, bring a plastic baggie to put it in when dirty, and rinse them out when you get to your hotel/resort/condo.

We hated the Tiny Diner. You can buy disposable placemats at BRU but Glad Press & Seal would work too.

Loved the Tiny Diner- used from the age of about 6 mos to about 2.5 yrs. DD liked to look at the picture of the cow jumping over the moon, etc!

Great question! We are taking our daughter on a cruise next month, and she will be almost 8 months old. I had already thought about bibs, but I hadn't considered place mats.

I ordered a Baby Bjorn silicone bib from Amazon for around $10. It hasn't arrived yet, but it has great reviews and I hope we like it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XDXD08/ref=oss_product

I also ordered a Baby Buddy Bib Clip as well. This is basically a strap to hang a cloth napkin around their neck for a bib. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BPS0LK/ref=oss_product

AnnieW, I have a question about the Munchkin disposable bibs please. Is you baby able to rip them off easily? Do they fit tight enough around the neck to catch milk drips from a bottle?

like many pp, i liked the Tiny Diner. very useful for when ds had to sit in highchair. only downside is that it isn't great on round tables bc of where the suction cups are placed. so when i plan to use it i just remember to look for a rectangular/square table.

i never liked disposable bibs, i liked using the Baby Bjorn soft bibs ($10 each) better. when we travel we just keep one in the diaper bag and wipe it down after use. very easy. they are easy to wash as well and dry quickly. i liked them bc they would catch food and ds could pick it out of there instead of stuff getting on his lap.
