OK, style mavens - and that's not me, I am so unstylish.

I got this jacket at Eddie Bauer in the grey - I was hoping for the brick colour but it was much more orange than pink and didn't look good on me

I already have a light blue cordoroy jacket that has ruffles that I got from anthropologie - the grey one might be a better style on me as it's a little longer.

I can wear either jacket with jeans, but I can't wear them with cords - too much corduroy happening.

I don't have a jean jacket or a velvet jacket - I'm wondering if I should take the EB jacket back and look for a velvet jacket as I could wear that with cord or jeans - if right colour (my cords, are grey and a mauve colour).

WWYD?

Get a fitted velvet jacket. Way more versatile and way more stylish.
