Miss made her debut sunnyside up at 1:11am this morning. She came into the world quickly in just at 2 hours from start to finish. Our water homebirth turned out just beautifully with a roaring fire, candles, and midwife in attendance. We woke up our 7 year old who would have been crushed if she missed it and she was mesmerized. Babe nursed immediately and we are so grateful to be in our own environment.

YEAH!!! Congratulations, and so wonderful you were able to have your home water birth the way you wanted to. It sounds beautiful! I guess she knew she was about to be evicted, and chose to do it on her own terms ;) Smart girl that one, and one to watch out for!

And as a fellow home waterbirther I totally understand how awesome of an experience it is. DS1 was almost 6 years old when I had DS2 and was in the room for his birth and still talks about it. We were also surrounded by candles, peaceful music, and loving midwives. Enjoy your babymoon!
