not sure if someone has already posted this deal, but I just came across it this morning at my local Target. This particular Leap Frog Tag Junior system which includes the Tag Junior book pal, "If I were...." sampler board book, and Bonus Toy Story 3 min-book was marked down to $19.99. It looks like it's not marked down online (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/186-0557438-6906316?asin=B00350EULW&AFID=Performics_Google%20Product%20Listing%20Ads&ci_src=15781033&ci_sku=B00350EULW&LNM=Primary&ref=tgt_adv_XASD0001), but it's marked down at least at the Westfield Culver City Target in Southern CA & there were several boxes at one of the toys' endcaps. you can buy the leap frog system with a $5 manufacturer coupon which I think was distributed with the free Leap tag junior book that some of you may have requested via the mail.

thank u so much for letting me know about the $10 coupon. the Sales Associate at Target said that you can get a price adjustment/credit if it's within 7 days of your purchase. I stopped by & was able to get one of the leap frog jr sets for $4.99 + tax ($19.99-$10 target coupon -$5 manufacturer's coupon).

Where can I find the $5 coupon?

I just received a $5 manufacturer's coupon in the mail from Leap Frog directly, when I requested a sample Leap frog Junior book (I think there was a thread about this a few months ago - sorry, can't remember the exact date). But I still think that combining the Target printable web coupon ($10 off) with the sale price of $19.99 is still a great deal, as the leap frog special edition jr set comes out to $9.99 plus tax.

I was at my local Target today (Paramus, NJ) and decided to look for this since I had the coupon booklet with me. I found it, marked at $27.99 on clearance. Went to pay for it and use the coupons, and was told that I couldn't use either coupon, since it was a "special edition" and therefore not the same item as a regular Tag Jr. I even had the cashier check with her manager, but they refused to honor the coupons. Hope others have better luck!

oh no, sorry your local Target's manager wouldn't apply the Target coupon or manufacturer's coupon towards the special edition set.

Glad to hear that you were able to find the set at your local store and the coupons were accepted.

It's so interesting how Target's policy varies widely and the reduced prices aren't always consistent across the b&m stores.

I was able to use the $10 coupon at my Target, but the cashier had to manually override it in the system. It kept giving an "invalid" message. I think I paid around $18 plus tax.

Oh Target, why do you do this to me? I found about 8 of these and all were marked 30% off except one that was $19.98. I brought that one up to the cashier and it was ringing up 30% off. He was new and asked a manager, who told him to override the price to give me the $19.98. Awesome. Then I hand over my coupon, which as PP said doesn't automatically apply. He asked another cashier/trainer and she said it can't be used towards clearance. Really? I looked at the back of the coupon and said but it doesn't say that anywhere. She said, no clearance and was all snotty about it. After all that I walked out without it. I may try again next week since they had so many.

so I found several boxes at my local Target - they were not on the end caps but just w/the other Tag stuff. marked down to 27.98, but I figured it was not worth the extra time/gas to wait for the additional markdown to 50% off so I went ahead and got it

both coupons scanned just fine at the register w/o any problems so it was $12.98 + tax, not bad. thanks OP!

as an aside, just check the boxes when you get them. there were about 6 at my Target and half were opened.

Oh it is definitely a good deal even without the coupon -- I think I was so irritated that they wouldn't take it when I know that others have been able to use the coupon on this item that I didn't want to pay the price before coupon. Target makes me crazy in this regard.

Whoo hoo! Success! Inspired by the experiences related here, I called the Target I went to yesterday and spoke to the manager. Explained that numerous others had been able to use the coupon I tried to use last night. She agreed I could use the coupon if the item was still in the store, which I doubted. She went to look in toy clearance and it was not there. Figured I'd give it one more try so went by after DH came home from work to take a look myself -- not in toy clearance. Went over to electronics clearance and -- there it was! Marched right over to guest services, gave the manager's name and told the story, the very nice young man radio-ed her and got the OK, then proceeded to enter both of my coupons -- the $10 Target one and the $5 manufacturer one linked earlier in this thread (thank you!!!)

So, got it for $5 after all that. Thanks for the inspiration, folks!

I also was turned down for the $10 coupon today because the CS people said it was for the regular Tag system and not Tag Junior. Interestingly, though, the Target computer system did accept the manufacturer's $5 coupon, which also seemed to be for the regular Tag system and not Junior. I didn't feel like calling a manager over and pushing any harder. I'm pretty happy with getting the $40 item for $15!
