DS1 likes the Stink books too.

For a boy I would look at A-Z Mysteries, Bailey School Kids, Cam Jansen mysteries, or the Boxcar Children series instead.

The Stink books are geared for boys and are easier to read. Having said that, in my library, boys do check out and enjoy Judy Moody books...just not as much as the boys.

Thanks everyone. DS1 is not really into the sports, fantasy, scary stuff which a lot of the books geared for boys seem to be about. I don't care for books like Captain Underpants myself, so I'd rather not introduce those to him. He's also an avid reader so I'm constantly looking for new books to try out.
