I found out this morning that a friend had died in his sleep. He wasn't even 40 yet and was one of the good ones. He always tried to make everyone laugh and would be there if you ever needed him. I am still in shock and have crying al day. He has a wife and 2 DC. I love you G and always will.

Sorry to hear that. It does seem sadder (to me at least) when someone passes away who still seems like they had much more to give here on Earth. P&PT for his family.

His wife was talking to him at 1am and then she got up at 4am to get the kids ready but when she tried to wake G he had passed.

Oh geeze that's awful. I'm so sorry. Do they know how it happened? Poor family. A friend of a friend of mine passed away recently in his early 40s leaving his wife and kids. She was a SAHM and had been out of the job market for a long time too.

This friend isn't by chance from MA is he? Today someone at work mentioned that a classmate of theirs died in their sleep. Very coincidental if it's not the same person...

They aren't sure. I am guessing a heart attack but I haven't heard definately yet what it was. He had been morbidly obeses for a long time and had the GBS done 4 years ago. Most of his chronic ailments went away but I don't think the high choestoral did. I can't imagine talking one to DH one minute and then loosing him the next.

So heartbreaking. My sister died suddenly last year at 39 yo. The shock still hasn't worn off. I still feel like it wasn't time for her life to be over. I'm so sorry.

Thank you all. We are all still in shock becasue it came out of the blue. We are all helping his family and making sure that everything is taken care of so they can grieve and not worry about anything else. His children are older so they are fullt aware of what happened. I believe one is in middle school and the other in high school. What happened to him is one of my biggest fears. To say goodnight to DH or my DC and never be able to say goodmorning again.
