I only use our Sigg bottle for water. I do have the (bad) habit of leaving water in it, sometimes for a few days at a time. I always wash it with hot water and soap and it usually comes clean/fresh smelling. Lately, I've noticed that the bottle and the cap have a slightly moldy/mildewy smell. Any suggestions for getting rid of this? Can I boil the cap (it's a sports cap) or maybe stick it in one of those sanitizing microwave bags?

TIA!

Susan

Target has the sigg cleaning tablets on clearance right now. Maybe try that?

The smell is post-washing. :( I dumped some baking soda in the bottle and filled it with hot water. That helped the bottle, but I discovered that the rubber seals/gaskets on the lid are what smell! I'm going to try the baking soda trick with the cap, too, to see if it helps. It's pretty gross. :(
