Hello! MY DS loves pancakes in the morning for breakfast so what I do is make sweet potato pancakes or pancakes with applesauce on the weekend, and he can eat them for brkfast during the week. However, I find myself spending way too much time over the stove making three pancakes at a time!
It's time for some sort of griddle... any tips or recommendations. Should i buy an electric one? or use one the fits over the stove? If you have one that you love, i would love it if you share the brand or type of griddle. Thanks!

TIA!

Love, love, love the All-Clad griddle. I was just telling my friend about it tonight! http://www.amazon.com/All-Clad-LTD-Nonstick-Grande-Griddle/dp/B00005AL8X

I have both types. The stove-top one is reversible, one side is flat for pancakes and the other has ridges for grilling:

I like it but it does heat up the kitchen a lot! and it stays hot for a long time, so I have to keep the kids out of hte kitchen if I'm using it (it won't fit across the back two burners, it has to go front-to-back).

I also bought a large electric one. Initially I wanted it to make fried chicken (it took HOURS to cook everything in my old, smaller electric griddle) so I got a frying pan, not a griddle, but now we use it for pancakes a lot. my DS1 is old enough to help pour in the batter and flip the pancakes, but I wouldn't wnat him to do that while leaning over the stove. We set up the griddle on a low countertop & he can stand next to it at a safe, comfortable height.
This isn't the exact model but it gives you the idea:

We have an electric one but I have a suggestion. Make pancakes for the week (or month) one time and the freeze them. Pop them in the toaster and they taste like they were just made. I do this when I make buttermilk waffles so I use up the buttermilk.
Huge time saver.
