I often keep 19 mo. old DD barefoot in the house because I'm afraid she'll slip and fall while she's running all over the place. Now it's getting cold and I need an alternative! I was all set to buy the HA mocs after reading the raves on here. Then I saw a pair of cute socks in the One Step Ahead catalog that have rubber on the bottom. It made me wonder if the HA mocs would be too warm? For those of you with toddlers on the go like mine, what's the best thing to buy and what price should I be looking to spend?

We just ordered our soft soled Robeez. They were pretty much full price. Not too many deals out there for that age... We wear them with the Old Navy triple fold socks or possibly thicker/warmer socks. We're hoping the elastic will keep her keeping them on...

(Meanwhile, until they arrive, we got thick socks with rubber on the bottom when my husband was in Germany in Oct.)

I'm looking forward to hearing what others do...

I love our Bical shoes/slippers for our hardwoods. I think I have seen knockoffs at Target.

We bought a pair of Nowali in Sweden over the summer. I had socks on him today, and he slipped so I plan on digging out the mocs tomorrow.

Our daughter likes the Hanna Andersson "baby socks" that have the little grips on the bottom. They go up to size 5-7.

We used the baby Gap bear slippers when DD was a toddler. We had Hanna mocs when she was a baby and then again at around 3, and we loooove them! I don't think they're too warm - my DD only puts them on when she's cold, and they serve their purpose! The best baby socks the PP mentions are great too, except I don't think they would work as a house slipper for us.

Last winter I was looking for something for my 2.5 yr old to wear in the house. Based on recommendations here, I bought the robeez knock-offs from 'ShoesZoo' on ebay (don't think Robeez has soft soled shoes for 3 yr olds). We wore them with socks inside, and they worked well. I ordered the sandal style, so DS could wear the same in summer without the socks. Though in summer he goes around barefoot most of the time. Plan to order the same for 16 month old DD this winter.

I was all set to order the HA mocs from the outlets (never seen them in person, so don't know how warm they are), but I waited too long and they were out of the sizes I wanted.

My younger DD has these LLBean slippers. They are very grippy.

DS wears Hanna mocs too. We got them during the summer sale for $4.80/pair.
