So, our family adopted a local family through our church this past week. I got the last family available...with 4 kids.

There is a:

13 yr. old boy - into skateboards and anything for guitars
10 yr. old boy - enjoys hunting, fishing and being outdoors
8 yr. old boy - "wants a ramp for his scooter tricks" (What?)
6 yr. old girl. - Barbie stuff, particularly a car

I've got the girl covered. I have a 6 yr old girl myself. Piece of cake.

But the boys are a totally different story. I don't have a clue. I'm especially stumped by the ramp for the scooter tricks. There is a $25 limit on toys (this will be in addition to some clothing most likely) and with the number of kids involved, we will likely have to keep that limit. If it was a smaller family, I'd go a bit over I think.

Does anyone have any good ideas (links would be incredibly appreciated) for the boys that fits and is around $25?

Thanks so much in advance, because I am seriously lost here!

Hmmm. Here's a scooter ramp on Amazon for just $12.99, though the reviews are pretty mixed. It might still be worth it, though, as it *is* a scooter ramp and seems to be what the little guy has in mind! And, for $12.99, it seems like a good deal.

Here's another small skateboard/scooter ramp on Amazon for 19.99: http://www.amazon.com/Airwalk-Skateboard-Single-Mini-Ramp/dp/B003BPCJJ6/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1289324018&sr=8-14

Thanks. I just found this one at Target. Do you think that's what he means? Is a skateboard ramp basically the same thing? I have absolutely no idea here!/

(Oh, and what did you type in to Amazon to find the ramp you posted in your first post? There wasn't a link, and I'm not having luck finding anything except old-people scooter ramps...probably not what he had in mind! :))

Not sure why I didn't think of this before, but I wonder if you could get a nicer ramp and have it be a gift for all three boys (who all seem to enjoy being outdoors, skateboard/scooter stuff, etc.), and then just get something else small for each of them individually (say, a guitar accessoriy for the oldest boy, a camo hat or camp flashlight for the middle one, and some scooter kneepads for the youngest one). Just a thought!

Sorry, I'm a dingbat! Here's teh link for my first post: http://www.amazon.com/Razor-13430-Punk-Ramp/dp/B000FK8IT0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1289324559&sr=1-1

I honestly don't know much about it, but I think a scooter and skateboard ramp would be pretty interchangeable (a skateboard ramp might possibly be bigger, I'd think). You could definitely call up your local Dick's sporting goods store and ask to make sure, though! Good luck!

ETA: I've been typing in "scooter trick ramp" and "trick ramp" and "skateboard ramp" and the like to find results on Amazon.

For the 10yr old who likes to be outdoors, what about a stomp rocket? http://www.amazon.com/Stomp-20008-Ultra-Rocket/dp/B0010LX84I/ref=sr_1_18?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1289324630&sr=1-18

Hmmm....may have to investigate further! I have no clue what older boys like and I just don't want to screw up their Christmas, kwim? Thanks for the good suggestion!
