Need gift ideas for 2.5 year old boy and new baby boy

My friend just had her second son a few weeks ago and we're going to their house for a visit. Their son is 6 weeks younger than mine so he'll be turning 3 in February. And since the new baby is also a boy, they are basically reusing everything from the first time around.

Any ideas for gifts? I wanted to get the new baby something and also something small for big brother. I just don't want to get anything she already has.

Is it too early to do something like a first Christmas ornament to hang on their tree in a few weeks?
