I am thinking of getting an expensive ride on toy for my 15 month old for christmas. We already have a rocking "bug" from baby einstein from my mother in law.

I am thinking of something foot powered that she can use indoors during our long winter. I'd be OK with plastic and ideally would like something that won't completely mess up our walls if they get rammed by this toy. Probably would like to spend $40 or less.

My son has this Finding Nemo Ride-On Toy (http://www.amazon.com/Kiddieland-Toys-Limited-030726-Activity/dp/B00018H6ZS) that was passed to us from one of his cousins. He adores it. He uses it indoors mostly, but also rides versions of it outside and at daycare. Looks like the Finding Nemo one is discontinued, but they have Dora and Cars characters as well as other similar items.

We also have the Playskool Step Start Walk n Ride (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004T2WP/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000NW3LZ6&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1RMAKMJ21HN0YP1K2CCA) and he likes that one too, but not as much. We actually have two of those, one at our house and one at my mom's because they are so cheap.

I got this one:
Lamaze Little Rider Foot to Floor (http://www.amazon.com/Lamaze-Little-Rider-Foot-Floor/dp/B000I2RK9E/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1289339456&sr=8-1-fkmr2)

for my DS for his 1st birthday. It is strictly indoor at our house. He is 2-1/2 now and rides it all the time. He was just riding it around this morning. He puts stuff in the basket, too.

I got it at Tuesday morning for $15-$20.

DD got this one for her first birthday: http://www.target.com/Disney-Mickey-Plane-Ride-On-Toy/dp/B000EX0DRS

DS is now 18 months old and plays with it all the time. Both kids put things inside it all the time. There's a $10 off coupon in the Target toy book that works on it and maybe some other similar ones. Mickey for sure would be $25 after coupon.

Another thought is a Rody horse. Ours gets a lot of love from both kids.

You can get one at Target for about $30 - DS2 has one, and the girls are enjoying it now.

Walmart has this in the store for $19.xx

It seems similar in concept to the more expensive (but cuter) large wheely bug
