SIL has done it again and "forgot" to tell me about our niece's second birthday party tomorrow evening. MIL just mentioned it to me, so of course I don't have a gift, and I don't think I'm going to be able to get out to buy one today or tomorrow (I've been sick and now I think Avery caught it).

I have Amazon Prime so if I order in the next few hours it'll be here in time.

I was thinking Tickle Monster (my go-to gift for the toddler/preschool set), but that requires some parental involvement and I don't know if SIL or BIL would do it with her. Other ideas?

My default is CDs for kids or books. Ralphs World, Laurie Berkner, tMBG, Justin Roberts...

Snap N Style dolls are a huge hit with 2yo girls! http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=snap%20style&origkw=snap%20style&f=Taxonomy/TRUS/2254197&sr=1
I know they have them at TRU and Walmart, but Amazon seems to have only 3rd party sellers for exorbitant prices.

I was going to say Snap and Style, too. Huge hit here at 2 and she still plays with them most days. Kohl's sells them, not sure if online, though.

I was going to post Snap n style dolls, too! Kohls and Toys R Us have them. My 2 year old LOVES them! Her favorite toy by far.

Wow, those are cute!

Might have to see if I can get DH or my mom to run to TRU for me...or better yet watch the kids so I can go by myself. ;)

Jack is 2 and he just started to like the Melissa & Doug food you can cut.

Sorry to hijack, OP, but do those who have them think that these Snap and Style dolls would also work for a 3 year old or would they be too young? They look cute!

Oh wow. How do I have a two year old girl and never heard/seen those dolls before? DD would love them!

OP-I was going to suggest a baby doll or stroller. Puzzles are always good. But those snap n' style dolls look pretty cool...

I think a three year old would like them too. My 7 year old still plays with them with the two year old.

The thing that makes them so great is that they are so easy to dress. Until they are ready to dress barbie type dolls on their own...these snap n style are great!

The M&D cutting food and the Twilight Turtle were both huge hits with my 2yo niece for her birthday this past summer.
