We've been looking for something like the old Big Wheels from when we were younger. I found these and they get great reviews. Normal MSRP on the radio flyer site is $79.99. Walmart has it for $39 on clearance. You can do free ship to store with the red or pink one and you can also do free ship to your house with the pink one.

Wow...that's an AWESOME price, seeing as last year when I was looking they wanted $100 for them!
Thanks!

This is a great bike, my son loves it. I don't think this is a clearance price though. Walmart runs specials on it from time to time. I remember getting it at $30 last year.

Thanks for mentioning this, I saw it on slickdeals.net the other day, didn't think of telling it here!

Got one for DS with autism, have heard the set up of the big wheel is really good for kids with autism, hope he likes it! I'm going to go ahead and give it to him when it gets here, his b'day is the 20th. Twin brother is getting the scooter Amazon had the price mistake on for 16.99 :D.

Wow, you got lucky! I was looking at these last year and the price was around 70$.

We got one 6 months ago for somewhere between $30-$40 at WM. The NEXT DAY, it went up to $80. So the sales might end fast. Grab it, it's a great bike.

What age range do you all think it would be good for?

How does this one compare to the RF Twist Trike, the 2 in 1.

No personal experience but the website says ages 3 to 7.

I'd say 4-7 is good. The seat is adjustable for longer/shorter legs.

My 4 year olds legs are a little short even at the frontmost setting, so we stick a pillow between his butt and the backrest.

The Big Flyer is just a chopper. The Twist trike converts from a trike for younger kids (2+) to a chopper for older kiddos (maybe 4+).

We have a trike that doesn't get a lot of use. If you are limited on space and have a young toddler and an older preschoolers that don't mind sharing the RF might be the way to go, although IMO it's not nearly as cute as this one (all plastic). If you already have a trike or your kiddo is over 4, buy this one.

My son will be 3 next month (birthday just before Christmas). He's been riding a scooter for over a year but we were thinking of either a balance bike or something like this to prep him for the next phase of bicycles. Thought a big wheel might help with the pedaling motion. This may be off topic a tad, but does that matter? This seems like a good price but if it really is better for a 4yo then I should wait. My son is very coordinated and over 38" tall so tall as well. Thx.

I got it for $38 last year from Amazon (11/28) can't remember if it was a gold box or lightning deal. Both kids like it (5 and 2).
