Any need for routine checkup when 20-week u/s is next week?

I have my 20 week u/s next Monday and a regular check-up with the OB tomorrow. It's always a long wait to see her and I have other things to do. Is there any need for me to keep my appointment tomorrow when I'm already feeling the baby kick and I'll be having the u/s next week? All she does is feel my stomach and listen with the doppler (in addition to urine sample, blood pressure and weight check).

In comparison with the u/s, I always felt like the check-ups were such a waste of time. I have/had a doppler at home, so I knew her heart rate, and I also checked my BP regularly at the gym and could feel movement by that time (although just barely). I wouldn't want to go 8 weeks between visits (since usually insurance only covers them every 4 weeks until 36/7), but as long as you have your BP and weight covered, you could just call them in.
