Seems like there have a lot of these lately! :)
Genevieve Claire was born October 29, 7 days post-due. I was scheduled to be induced that morning, but thankfully went into labor naturally the night before. I was actually in false labor for most of the week (contractions every 10 minutes for 3 days, but they always stopped when I was ready to call it!). Showed up at 5cm, got an epidural, labor progressed smoothly. When contractions got the most intense, they turned off the epidural, so I was able to squat to push. She was "sunny-side up", leaving me with a second degree tear, but totally worth it.
For being post-due, she was only 7lbs 14oz (DD1 was 7lbs 12 oz at 5 days early), but she has a full head of thick hair, we joke that she spent the last week growing hair!
She's a champion eater, latched right away, and sleeps when DD1 sleeps. Big sister loves her new role and we couldn't ask for anything better! :love-retry:
