I'm considering a Remo drum for my 1 year old and/or 3.5 year old. What age would they enjoy it? Is 1 too young?

What size would you recommend? I was thinking the 10 inch or maybe the bongos??

What's a good price?

I got DD the Remo Kids Percussion, Floor Tom, 10 Diameter with Mallet, Rain Forest Fabric (first one on the list) when she was a year and a few months old for her second Christmas. It was, and still is, a huge hit with both her and her younger brother. The quality is outstanding.

My kids love ours, and we got it at 0 years and 4 years. I think we got it for just about that price, too.

We love that one (baby was 6 months last Christmas); my almost 5, 3 and 18 month old pull it out all the time. The lollipop drum also gets lots of play; several times a week. The baby drum never got much play--its too small and not loud enough I think. The kids want more drums for Christmas so I'm following this thread. Right now I'm looking at the bongos, the conga or maybe a buffalo drum.

The Floor Tom gets way more use than the Gathering Drum my ILs bought. But that gets used sometimes too. I'd get the Floor Tom- it's so fun!!

I have a 4 yo and a 2 yo, they like the gathering drum, the floor tom and the bongos. They'd probably like others if we had them.

I will say that the large gathering drum is bigger than I expected. We drew out the size on the floor, but I was still surprised when it came.
