Sled/ Snow Tube recs?

I have been looking into getting these walrus sliders ( http://www.magiccabin.com/product.asp?pcode=2439 ) or these http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=537030&cmSource=Search for DS1 (6) and DS2 (3.5) for Christmas but another poster mentioned they might not be the best design because thier feet might dig into the snow in front.

Do I want a snow tube instead?

I'm not looking to spend alot since we get 1 or 2 decent snows a year and so far we've been having fun with cookie sheets.

Also any recommendations for my 1 year old? Or daddy :) ?

TRU had some snow things out last night, and I thought there was an infant sled. Maybe that was at BuyBuyBaby, though...

I should add that most of the local stores don't carry much snow equipment that I have seen so an Internet retailer would be best.
