Art Supplies for 16 month old

DD loves to scribble with crayons and play with stickers and I'd like to get her more art supplies for Christmas. I was thinking about things like sidewalk chalk and a magnadoodle. However, many of these things say they're for 3 years and older.

Are there any reasons why I shouldn't get these things for DD at 16 months old?

Also, any other suggestions?

Putting chalk in her mouth might be yucky :). And, even this summer, at 2, DS2 found it hard to make the chalk show up on the driveway.

Magnadoodle seems pretty okay, unless you think he'd poke himself with the stylus. My kids have used them well before age 3.

I think a magnadoodle would be fine - DS got one at about 1 year. I think the tip of the stylus has a magnet in it tho, so you would just have to make sure she doesn't mouth it. An aquadoodle is another possibility.
