Oblong shaped head at 31 weeks

I had an ultrasound today to check the size of DD. I have been measuring slightly small. Dr. was not overly worried as both me and DH are small and were both small infants. I noticed that the head seem oblong and the ultrasound tech stated it was because of the angle. DD is also breech. Dr. just called and said all the measurment are fine but want me to have another ultrasound in 3 weeks to recheck position and head. She did not seem too concerned but I am very worried about the head. Am I worring over nothing?

I think that you are worrying over nothing. Remember that with the ultrasound you are looking at the 2D image created by sound waves. The image does depend on the angle at which the sound waves are hitting your baby. Heads often do look oblong..

I think if you are not an ultrasound tech it's nearly impossible to understand what you are seeing....it amazes me how they measure and look and things that just look like random blobs to me....I would not worry....
