I would like to buy some automoblox for DS. He turned 2 in July. Would it be better to buy him the larger automoblox cars or is he old enough for the mini's?

It depends on his putting things in his mouth. While the minis are smaller they have less pieces to remove (top, wheels, treads) while the large ones have bigger and more pieces (wheels, treads, top, front, back, 4 shape people)

We have both minis and a large one. The large one only has more pieces in the fact that it has 4 shape people which I could see as a chocking hazard if your child puts things in his mouth the same as the wheels on the small cars. I find the smaller cars seem to fit togeather tighter and stay togeather better then our large car.

If you are worried about the choking hazard, Ikea has a knockoff that is rated for 18mo+ for really cheap ($10 for 3 vehicles).

BN.com has a coupon out for 30% off any one kids' book, toy, or game. With the coupon the 3 pack of minis would be $14.67! :boogie:
