Inspired by the previous thread, please post your outfit combinations here--with shoes please! and tell us where you found any key items. I thought it was fun to see pictures of everything next to each other, but I don't know if that will weigh down this thread or not? Feel free to let me know if that's a bad idea.
Edited to add: something is going wonky with my computer, and the pictures keep posting HUGE. So I'm doing links.

Now, with no further ado, here we go!

Quilted chocolate brown vest from Eddie Bauer (last year) looks like this one:
http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens/tops/vests/PRD~650407/Croft+and+Barrow+Quilted+FauxSuede+Vest.js (http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens/tops/vests/PRD%7E650407/Croft+and+Barrow+Quilted+FauxSuede+Vest.js)

Long sleeved tee, dark wash jeans, and used to be brown clogs like these Danskos. but my feet have been hurting, so I'm shopping for new ones.

These are my cozy shoes:

Very cute. You look very pulled together. Is that cardy gap or ON? I wish I could wear regular shoes--there are so many cute ones out there, but I'm limited to the wides.

How do you embed a picture?

I really like that V-neck. I haven't ordered anything from Canvas yet, but prob b/c I don't get the catalog, so it's not on my radar like the regular LE stuff is.

Lee Curvy fit, slender secret, straight leg jeans:

Fitted T
Some sort of cardigan or hoodie
LE fleece lined brown suede clogs

This is generally what I wear, but I'm trying to up my style a little by doing nicer cardigans and shoes/boots.

daisymommy, I LOVE the dolman sweater and your shoes/boots! Why does ON have to sell out of their cute sweater so quickly?!

daisymommy, I'm considering those black Privos (http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=8333270121085&cid=15956) you posted in the other SAHM uniform thread. How do they run? I wear a sz 8.5 M in New Balances but my feet are kinda wide in many brands.

My SAHM (actually, work at home) uniform is so not stylish - nursing cami, cotton hoodie, dark blue jeans and NB trail runners! But that's pretty much what I wear, day in and day out.

I know you don't want to see pics of my sweatpants :). All of my outfits are so old that I doubt I could find pics! Jeans, sweater, Keen babydolls or Born flats.

DrSally~ the sweaters are from Old Navy. Very cozy.
Thanks for the compliment :) I'm trying harder this year!

To embed a picture, right click on it, select the option to "copy image location"
Then when you post here, click on the little yellow square at the top of the box that shows a mountain. It will give you a box to paste the link. Paste it and submit. You will usually need to resize the image on the screen by dragging the corner arrows to makes smaller (you'll see what I mean). Have fun!

Privos are so ultra comfy! I have wide 10.5 size feet. I have them in an 11 and they fit perfectly. Not too narrow, but not really wide either. So I would try sizing up.

I have pix of my daily outfits on my blog that's listed in my signature.

I'm dressy for a SAHM, but I've been this way since I was old enough to put on a shirt. I'm a freelance web developer so I didn't really change my style once I had kids. I just wear 6" heels less often.

Not Citymama, but when you're adding a message, look up above the text and there is a symbol of the earth. Highlight 'Privos' and then click on the earth. In the pop-up box, put the link. Close the box.

Today I"m wearing a velour zip hoodie and matching pants from NY&CO

http://www.nyandcompany.com/nyco/browse/productDetailWithPicker.jsp?productId=prod2600001&categoryId=cat2170004&FLCat=cat60036&addFacet=1002%3Acat2170004

very comfy. I'm not going anywhere today. This is my "stay at home" outfit. But on a typical day, I usually wear long sleeved My Favorite T's from the Gap, or long sleeved tall shirts from Eddie Bauer, jeans, and these around the house:

http://www.crocs.com/crocs-mammoth/10049,default,pd.html?cid=952&cgid=women-footwear

but in black.. not pink!

Not the most fashion forward, but it's getting chilly and they are really comfy.

I've also been wearing this cardigan alot:

http://www.nyandcompany.com/nyco/browse/productDetailWithPicker.jsp?productId=prod2750019&categoryId=cat60118&FLCat=cat60036&productId=prod2750019&categoryId=cat60118&addFacet=1002%3Acat60118

I also want to know if someone can recommend some comfortable, cute flats for someone who has wide width feet. I really want to wear flats but they are always uncomfortable.

11-19-2010, 11:27 AM
Kris~ Thanks for teaching me how to do that!

artvandalay (totally cracking up at the name and avatar by the way!)
I love velour hoodies & pants! And I'm wearing my Crocs Mammoths right now :)

As far as flats go, I have wide feet and have had luck with Target recently. The Odell style runs wide. They aren't real high quality shoes that I expect to last forever, but at least I can get several fun styles and colors and not feel bad replacing them in a year or two. I have a leopard print print pair that are so fun!

NO ONE wants to copy my SAHM style. I'm just begging for Stacy and Clinton to pay me a visit.

Currently wearing grey sweatpants and DH's long sleeve tshirt that he has had since before we were married (7 years). I hate to admit how terribly typical this is!

You could probably pick any of the more casual sets from LLBean's 'winter looks' ideas and then go into my closet and find the same things!!! :rotflmao: When it's cold out around here I'm all about comfortable & warm... although maybe I can get bonus points to redeem me from wearing boring outfits because I often coordinate with a scarf or jewelry that I make!

:yeahthat: LOL, me too. to make things worse, i'm in maternity clothes to boot. nowadays i live in nursing tanks and velour sweatpants...usually stained with some sort of fruit or vegetable and covered in crumbs :bag

i'm going to have to go on a *major* shopping spree once i go back to work. i cannot even wear "nice" SAHM clothes to work...in my field, jeans and casual wear are not usually allowed.

They have the old navy shirts in the store, on sale all the time. I have never paid full price for them.

They fit "just right" :) Not tight but not baggy either. Close to your body, and fitted, but not skin tight either. And they fit true to size. Thats why I love them!

The GAP long sleeve favorite tees are the same way. Love them too! They just don't have as many colors or go on sale as often. The arms fit longer in them.

I love these pants for around the house, but I think they look nice enough for preschool pickups and shopping, too:

These are my favorite shoes for winter--so comfy and easy to slip on and go (I have them in Bug Brown):

On top, I'll often have on a solid long-sleeved tee, like these from Lands End:

That's exactly what I wear - Gap Outlet yoga pants (no pockets), BR l/s solid plain tees, and Merrell chill slides in black.

What can go with that to jazz it up a bit? A fun/colorful fleece vest?

Cute outfits! I'm really wanting to try the boots over jeans look, but I am afraid of skinny jeans, and I am not particularly fat (somewhere between a 4 and a 6 at the moment). They look like they would be uncomfortable.

I also love the jackets (or are they heavier shirts?) you're wearing. What brand/store are they from?

Thanks!

I was actually thinking of buying the black Chill slide because I like my brown ones so much, and I wear a lot of black.

Funny you mentioned a vest; I've been wearing one from Land's End a lot this season that I bought at the end of last winter on sale. It's brown, though, so not exactly jazzing me up. Ho hum. :-)

Skinny jeans are comfy :) (I didn't believe it too at first). But you have to try quite a few pairs to find the nice fit - I HATE buying pants.. I recommend the GAP legging jean, much softer and a nice fit on those. The tan 3/4 sleeve jacket is a short trench from H&M, perfect for 50 degree weather and the green one is from one of the 'junior stores' (but I don't remember which one), it was pretty cheap too.. I find I can't really fit in their pants but jackets and tops are fine, and great prices so I won't miss them if get ruined by crayons or such LOL.

You gals are so cute! And way too pulled together to be SAHMs. Really. I wear the same pair of jeans the entire week, with various old college tshirts and sweatshirts.

Of course, if I go out, I might throw on a l/s tshirt and vest, but I'm currently looking for a nice pair of running shoes to replace the new balances I've worn out since DS was born in April.

Most days I'm still in what I slept in until noon....... am I really the only one?!

No - you're not alone!!! If I am not planning on going anywhere - I'm usually in some form of my jammies until DD takes her nap (which is after lunch.) But if I have to go somewhere, I have to get ready before DD gets up. Then I tend to wear the same pair of jeans for almost a week too & they have had everything under the sun wiped on them. I just switch out the top/vest/sweatshirt combo from day to day.

I was right there with you until I went to a MOPS meeting and we had a speaker who encouraged us to "dress for success." She said that one way to instill respect in your children is to have some respect for yourself and put on "work wear" for your work day. If you get dressed in your "work clothes" first thing in the am, you're ready for ANYTHING - an impromptu trip to the park, a visit from the cable guy, an afternoon playdate, whatever. (Now, keep in mind that I was a mother to a three-year-old and one-year-old when I heard this speech. In my newborn days, I was frumptastic!)
