Books about baseball or football for 7 year old?

DS is recently fascinated with baseball (Go Giants!) and asked for football and baseball books. He is just beginning to read and likes pictures still. Any suggestions?

Matt Christopher has written a lot of sports themed books for kids. My brother loved these when we were growing up and a lot of Ds1's friends are reading them now.
