Anyone here use the "Belly Bandit" PP?

I just got mine and am a bit confused. My waist is much smaller than my hips, but the post partum pooch (at almost 3 weeks) encompasses both my waist and hips. If I put it on my hips, it's too loose around my waist, but if I just put it at my waist, I can't fit it over my hips. Right now I have it on my hips and it doesn't feel like it's "doing" anything; it's not like Spanx or anything. Am I wearing this wrong?

When I used it, I put it above my hips, so it was mainly on my tummy and partly on my rib cage. At around 3 weeks pp, I had to purchase the next size down because I "shrunk" so much. HTH!
